Do you have to pay extra to renew it?

How long has your license been inactive? You have to make sure you are up to date on your CE credits and CPR certification. Otherwise, I think you just have to pay the regular fee. Check the website at: www.mylicense.state.pa.us

You do have to pay an additional $5 per month if application is postmarked after 3/31.

You have to pay extra to reinstate it AND sometimes if it has been too long since it expired you will have to RETEST. This is why my former hygiene professors told us NEVER to let it expire (risk of retesting!). Contact the state board and find out what you can do.

Do you have all your CEU's or do you have to start from scratch? Contact the Board of Dentistry in the State(s) you wish to become active again; check the rules and regulations pages in that state online, they usually list what you need to do: contact, materials, phone or dept...to have all materials in hand before renewing. btw.....MA, is doing online renewals for licensing now (2013)...saves alot of paper and time and ink....then you receive an old fashioned paper license in the mail*. Ah, technology...

You will have to pay an extra fee to reinstate it. If your license has been expired for years then you might have to RETEST all over again to get it back! Immediately call up the board of dentistry in that state and ask how to get your RDH license back. This is why no RDH should ever let their license lapse.
