I'm kind of testing the waters here as I'm interested in obtaining an online BA that would use make me eligible for the ASCP MLS license. I have looked extensively at University of Cincinnati and other similar online MLS degrees, however, I don't want a BA in med lab. I feel like I may be limiting myself in that I may want to do something else later in my career life. Anyways, I'm looking at the hour requirements for biology and chemistry with the math as well. Will ASCP really accept any degree that satisfies those?

MT/MLS's, what BA degree do you have? Did you do it online or not?

You need a BS degree not a BA degree.

I have a BS in clinical laboratory science.

I am not sure how many schools offer a BS online
Due to the laboratory requirements.

Doing on online BA/BS only works if you are an MLT.

I'm already an ASCP MLT. I'm looking to upgrade my licensure to MT so I can get paid more.

I would just do the university of cincinnati.

The MLS boards are way harder then the MLT boards
So you will need a program like that to pass.

If you don't like the lab you can get an MBA or something later.
