I know the job market in any area of diagnostic imaging is tough right now, but after applying to goodness knows how many nuclear med, CT, and MRI tech positions since I graduated in 2011, I need opinions. I know having multiple certifications can make you a more valuable employee, so would going through school (2 year) for a radiology degree/certificate be worth my while? A RT(R)certification can open a lot of opportunities in modalities and states. I've lost chances to interview at various places just because I wasn't RT(R) certified.

DownOnLuckCNMT, stop trying to climb aboard a sinking ship. I'm also a bit confused. What exactly are your current radiology registrations?

My one and only registration is with the NMTCB (CNMT), DRONES. I'm trying to figure out if getting a degree in Radiology would be remotely worth anything.

After 500+ applications in nuclear medicine alone in the last 18 months, I could use a change.
