All the comments about how bad the job market is, are posts from 2 yrs ago during the 10% unemployment period and when everyone thought the world economy was going to collapse.
Has the Rad Tech job market opened up more? Wages increase? I figure salaries are about $20/hr+
Thinking of going back to school and getting certified. I currently hold a BA in Finance so this degree would only take about a yr or so at a local college.
I do find that the unemployed folks are the majority that hang out here so the answers could be negatively biased.
At a few hospitals in the Albany area, they do have quite a few positions open for rad techs.
I was also considering being a traveling tech. Free housing more pay than a reg rad tech and you get to live in different cities and / or states. Seems interesting.
Thanks for the input!
