Thanks for the reply and information FL , I appreciate it.

What do you do in classes from 9:00 am till 4:30 pm ? They have all types of tests ? That seems like a long time.

The "lease $350.00 a week for one shift" what does a company consider a shift ? 8 hours ? Or when you "clock in and out" ?

And you can take the Cab home with you if you are leasing it , right ? Is it more money to take it home ?

Do all the cabs come with them protective shields ? Are they extra money ?

With that class I could drive a Limo or be a Chauffuer too ?

Thanks

Well, professional drivers do earn decent money amount of money that are associated with cab service firms. Professional taxi service firms are growing rapidly. Burghfield car rental is one of the emerging companies who are also providing online booking and reservation services. They also offer mobile services to their valuable clients.

I'm an owner operator of a Chicago city cab. I've been driving for over 12yrs. The business is ok as long as you put in at least 10-12 hrs a day. I have two kids that I barely saw grow up. This job takes sacrifice from your family and your social life. All do to the city over regulation on fines, tickets, and not protecting the industry over all. The average cab driver pays about $1000.00 a yr. on parking tickets alone. We're the city's ATM machines. We're harassed at the airports and downtown by the consumers service. Most importantly the city doesn't crackdown on these illegal cabs that work in the city and airports and hotels that sells fares. I see illegal cabs and limos soliciting customers in front of the officals and don't say anything. Why I'm paying ground tax and corporate tax and license fees? When I was training, they told us we're the ambassador of the city.but, we get treated like carp by everyone.
