I've got a couple of felonies and misdemeanors on my record, but I've turned my life around and still get judged for my past. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find work? I've qualified for jobs at temp services, but as soon as the background check comes back, they say they can't help me. I've been clean for 10 years and it's starting to make me wonder if changing my life around was all worth it. IS THERE ANY HELP OUT THERE? Thanks.

I know worthington industries hire people without background checks. Pay starts at 11.00. It located on the north 270/71 area . Look for Worthington cylinders adds in the free job newspapers. The money is alright but most of the starting jobs suck. And the place is ran by monkeys on qualudes. But it is also a felon friendly employment.

Many times Society will turn you down.Whether it's seeking employment or trying to find a home. Remember,God is always on your side! No matter what! We can't always look to this world for our answers! Ask Jesus, and do much priase! Start going to church, with the ideal of really focusing on the spirit, instead of answers from man,and you'll find people in the church who own business'es,homes, have materialistic things, and who are willing to help another person out! I hope this information is helpful? May God bless you,and have a nice day! Rodney

I am fresh from ODRC as of April 5th, 2015. My goal was to have employment by April 21st or at least by the end of April. I am currently in an Exit Program in Columbus, Ohio. It's been a barrier hanging over my head finding employment. That's not the problem. I can find employment. I don't get a friendly person that I am applying to gives the positive answer from an employer. I have been told that I have a beautiful resume, when applying for a program. Again, that ugly word of "NO" comes into the picture when looking at offense. I need that friendly employer that would help me with employment. I am rent free where I am currently living. I don't want that. I have goals set and I am unable to pursue the first goal, which is employment. If ANY suggestions, please by all means, message me back. I have food service capabilities. I have been a courier/driver for local deliveries through non-CDL licenses. I am excellent with customer service. I have several awards through Tim Horton's for excellent customer service. A mail room/printer operator. I have been in a mail room majority of my job career. A printer operator for over 13 years. I am also a veteran of over 13 years of service in the Ohio Army National Guard.

Hey Nicole! I am on the website of COVA. They are located at 3770 N. High Street. I know where that is. I tried applying for them once for a job reference. Which is funny. I didn't get the job because of my background. I didn't realize what all they done for the employment status. They were looking for someone with customer service skills, plus with an associate's degree in psychology. I had all criteria. Except, the background syndrome came out. I will look at COVA. Thank you so much for the reply.

Hey Kimmy! I'm Gary by the way. I received a call on Thursday (4/23) from a restaurant. I went to the interview on Friday and started about 2 hours later. A cooks position and everything else in between. Friday went great. I found out on Friday that I didn't nearly have enough skills in food service than I thought I did. I was told by the owner that I had excellent work ethics and he liked the way that I worked. Saturday, a totally different day than Friday. I started at 10:45am. 15 minutes later, began cussing at me (belligerent) towards me. He asked me to do the first task, and I wasn't going fast enough for his standards. The owner, after the day, I had walked out speaking colored metaphors. But when someone has no faith or trust into their employees, its not going to work if the owner continues to badger, cuss, and torment an employee that gave me great gratitude, that wasn't working too well for me. I got yelled for cutting my middle finger, and flipping him off at the same time. He didn't see the blood gushing down my finger obviously. 3 or 4 different knives in my hand for prep cook, and I cut my finger on a stupid peeler. About took my nail off. There's too much more. Thank you for your reply.
