I recently had luck finding part time @ Saks Fifth Ave. I had felony DWI too. Just be sure to tell them that and not cover anything up. Strict dress code but its definitely a foot in the door. Good Luck.

their personality is all wrong, he just need to humble his self if he has been hired and fired four times in one week. he probably DO NOT want to WORK....

I need a job badly!!! Have a 12 year old felony and have been free for seven years... This game you have to play to get a job like lie and then it catches up to you and you get fired anyways, or tell the truth and you never hear from them again...Call them and they tell you they went another direction!!! Complete BS!!! I have a class B...Prefer the delivery/warehouse side of things, but at the moment ANYTHING WILL DO!!!
I live in the Denton area, and I am asking Ms Nisha to Help me with a few for sure leads...
Thanks
Larry

MsNisha - My husband has a Felony DWI from 6 years ago. We got married in November and he is trying to relocate to the DFW area. He's been in the HVAC industry for 5 years and has an excellent reference from his currently employer. He's having the same trouble as everyone else on this forum - gets throught a great interview where they are wanting him to start immediately only to have the door slammed in his face when he mentions the felony. He's done his time and has put his life back together. He realizes he made a few stupid decisions and was in a really bad place at the time. Any help you can give to get him here would be greatly appreciated.

The bad thing is people with any kind of assault or theft charge/felon will be the last on the list to get looked at, even if it's been 7-10 years. The sad thing is you can commit a blue collar crime and possibly have better luck than if u committed an assault or theft.

I have 15 years of inventory control experience. I just lost my job due to layoffs and I cannot find another. My felony was 15 years ago. I have had 3 interviews in the past month and some seemed to be very promising. I also notice the interviewers demeanor change when they see that I have a felony. Does anyone know of any job opportunities?

I just wanted to say that I am not pleased with the outcome of my crime. I hit a car and went unconscious and traveled 75 ft. from the scene. I received an assault for hitting a vehicle accidentally and a hit and run for not stopping.
I now understand why the U.S has the highest crime, recidivism and imprisonment rates in the world. There is just too many stupid laws. I guess if you can't beat stupid laws then you may as well capitalize upon them.
It seems more needs to be done for felons. You make a mistake and go to college and receive mass amounts of training and you are still outcasted. A large waste of human capital in a country of underdeveloped humans.
God Bless AMERICA!
How I wish it were Holland!

My last employer was great! They put me on the backburner and called me out when another worker fell through. I would drive many miles for 4 hours of minimum wage work. I was there over a year. When my daughter was born I was laid off because I was unable to be called out without notice so I was alid off due to lack of work. I have been on unemployment for over a year and I am on EB. Any jobs out there? I really dont want to cultivate or synthesize but in this economy its getting to the point.

I agree,an accidental injury shouldn't be prosecuted as a felony. Just sell drugs and if they ever lock you up over it stab one of their officers so you can claim the violent felony. Take about 40k annually out of the drug industries.

Yeah, it was 2005 and I was 24. I lost my kids and wife during incarceration. My wife found another man who was charged for starting fires that caused millions in damage. He was a call in fire fighter trying to support the kids. I wasnt able to cover the bill because since my incarceration the economy has been blowing goats. Some went out of business and others just didnt have work.
I havent drank since my offence and I havent smoked and drove or used any altering substances behind the wheel.

Joselyn why don't you consider offering Home Health Services? Print up some business cards, get an home health independent contractor's agreement from the web, set you rates and market yourself.
It's really not that difficult. A friend of mine is self employed as a home health caregiver and gets plenty of business.
