Anything in the oil and medical...I have recently moved here as well and still looking. There are so many jobs...in Houston. You many want to start plugging in job alerts there are really some good ones out there. Also believe or not craigslist is really popular with employers out here.

I have been getting calls from CraigsList...believe or not...also when there check the Gigs section...as well.
BTW, Edward Jones recruiter contacted me for Advisor Position...and yes they pay you salary while getting you license and they pay for it. They are hiring in the Houston area...Top Fortune 500 companies to work for and 2nd in their league. Visit their website..
Also doesnt hurt to register with temp agencies..Exxon uses www.lanestaffing.com. The recruiter just filled two of her candidates..$20.00hr.

I tried going to lanestaffing.com but i couldn't register. How do you register? What is BTW? I am going to try Edward Jones next. Time is moving so fast and I haven't found anything yet. Anymore suggestions! Do I wait til I come to Houston?

Hello...someone had forwarded me the site and so I don't know how to share further information. BTW, (by the way) lol. What part of Houston do you live. University of Phoenix is always hiring great company..they are looking for Enrollment Counselor..Im a graduate...I on my 4th interview and I have a friend who works there in San Antonio...she is a counselor...the pay is great and off on Fridays...no weekends...and great company, Large company good stability and you can move up very fast.
Also, this morning, I got on craigslist and got 3 responses for interviews..Did you try yet...this has been the only site that really get fast interviews.

Great...the enrollment position is just a entry level to move up...they are always hiring for this position because people move up so fast...50 campuses all over the world.
Go to: phoenix.edu, there are several types of position!

You should register with agencies that specializes in Chemical Manufacturing out of Washington DC, VA and MD. Do a search and call them up.

I'm trying to get a job in the oil/gas industry even if its entry level(willing to start at the bottom), the only bad thing is I dont have any experience in that field. Only experience I have is in the legal field. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get in???????

I am in the process of moving to Houston in the first quater of next year from Chicago. I have a BS in accounting(3 years exp) and 4 courses short of an associates in Healthcare Information Technology and will be elgible for the RHIT certification exam. Congrads on your decisions in taking the first step on being sucessful...I can relate just move to Houston as Well...great pay and great rental...I started out with temps and landed a great job with Shell ...took me 5 mos but well worth it...great company and great pay...still getting opportunites as well....from other agencies!...

Houston has great corporate recruiting companies, they are fantastic in getting you a great paying job. Also consider commuting downtown, employers pay 3 times as much.
