chefanthonyb in Houston, Texas said: I have a felony for posession of cocaine from 2002 and still coming up to give me a hard time getting a job .I cook, paint, stocker, warehouseman, gen.laborer and a hard team worker so what,s going on in this world where u don,t get another chance. I have a felony conviction for theft. Its my only blemish on my record. I am a compulsive gambler who is attending Gamblers Anonymous and getting treatment from a psychiatrist. I have been looking for work for a long, long time and cant even get a call back. Part of the problem is that I worked as an accountant and now I am not applying for accountant jobs because I dont want one due to my gambling addiction. I dont want that responsibility. I just want to get on with my life. I would like a shipping/receiving position or an inside sales position or maybe a dispatch position. All these positions are ones that I worked before I started my accounting career. If anybody out there can help, please email me at david.mcfadden@yahoo.com Thank you, |

I am a God fearing women and I made a bad decision that may have effect my entire life. Last year I was recently charged with bribery and now I am placed on deferred adjudication. I am a single parent who is trying to find employment to provide for my family. Before I was convicted with an felony I worked many jobs as a head lifeguard, security officer, customer services, office clerical, dispatching, bus operator, and warehouse. This is the only conviction I have on my record, after I finish my probation the felony would be sealed. |

I've heard that Texas Workforce Commission has a special department called "Career One Stop" that will help felons find jobs. I am going up there on Monday to see if they can or will really help. I will report back. |

I have completed a 3 yr. Def. Adjudication Probation for a State Jail felony Charge of Theft. (I took my own tool from a Chem. Plant where I worked to fix my air conditioner at home and returned the tool a week later. When asked if I took the tool home, I told them, "yes". thinking nothing would happen? No harm no foul. Not the case. They filed because of new 911 laws referring to the chemical plants as being a "Foreign Trade Zone") I would like to be a Process Server for Texas, Houston area. I am an Ex-Certified Comm. Security Officer. Will this dismissed Charge hurt my chances of becoming a Process Server? I have to send application to Texas Supreme Court for approval. (I will have to answer "Yes" on the application, ever been charged or convicted of a crime?) Anyone have an answer? E-mail @ mfoshee@hotmail.com Thank You |

I'm Trevin and havee a felon from over 10 years ago but still very hard for me to find employment. I have various skills including rail track, warehouse, chemical plant, tank cleaning experience. If any one knows of anyone that would be willing to give me a chance to work, I am more than willing. I know people make mistakes but once you have paid for your mistakes through the system why is it so hard to live a normal healthy life like every body else. It feels like the system is disigned for people to fail. Thanks |

Im located in the houston ,tx area so if anyone now of anyone hiring out there please email me at mlshaw67@yahoo.com or call me atthanks and take care |

Cadet in Columbus, Texas 24 months ago |
About 1.5 years ago I was attacked in my home by an alcoholic extended family member and was forced to defend myself after they chased me down and attacked me from behind, kicking me between the legs as I tried to flee. I lost my job (worked at a bank) when I was tossed in jail despite cooperating with authorities at every turn. The case was brought to trial and it was clear the jury would return no result so I was offered a deal which gave me deferred adjudication for the charge. Since then I have not been able to find employment. I feel as though I would be employed serveral times over if not for the deferred adjudication which techincally is not supposed to go against me. I have no other criminal record. I have a BA in History from the University of Houston, a sales and customer service background, as well as experience as a computer tech. I have reliable fuel efficent transportation, although I live out in the country west of Houston I can easily drive to the Katy/West Houston area for a job. If you know of anyone that might be willing to look past a deferred adjudication, I will work general labor, sales, tech support, call center...pretty much anything. Thank you very much. |

Looking for a job? i myself have 9 felony conviction, the last one is less then 1 yr. old and am on parole. if you are just looking for a job until you can find something better (like me) W.I.S. INTL. will hire anybody most of their ass. are convicted felons, they understand what we are going through, even some of there senior staff member's are convicted felons. So if you just want a job check them out the have opportunities all over u.s. Now the hrs. are all over the board some weeks you get 20 or more, others are less. But if you work hard show a positive attitude and are dependable. the better you get the more hrs. you get it's up to you. you get out what you put in. But it is a job satisfies parole and beats a blank |

If anyone can help please. Im enrolled in school to further my education.I do have a college degree ,but neither of these matter once potential employers run my background. |
