I am in the IT field..1st level support and want to move on to something better and better paying.
Not sure what area yet. I have an Associate degree in Programming and a BA in Technical Management.

Presently I am the Lead Analyst for Service request Center in the IT department of a drug company. This position is not that technical/ also worked on the technical HD.

My co-worker(back-up) just landed a job making six figures with a great company. Let’s just there was a salary jump from 35,000 to six figures.

I am confused as to what career path ( cannot be at risk to be outsourced) that I can take that will utilize my work experience and ASD/BA to increase my paycheck?

I had some options:
Technical Designer
Business Analyst ( need six mths cert. - have no experience)
Application support technician

So I am confused as to what direction I should head into....any advice would be appreciated.

Let me just add that my passion is educating people about nutrition/environmental toxins and health.....

So let me know what you think???? What are should I pursue as a career...you may mention any thing outside of what I wrote...THANKS!!!!!

The litigation support field is booming. Experienced IT professionals provide technical support to attorneys in litigation and other practice areas. It is a high paying area with plenty of job opportunities but many IT professionals are not aware of this field. For more information, see legalcareers.about.com/od/careerprofiles/p/Litigation.htm.

Good luck!
