Hello, I am currently half way into a college program for a 3-year associates diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology. Upon completion, my diploma is suppose to qualify me for on site technical support for electronic and electrical equipment ranging from cellphones to satellites and others as well. But has anybody found any job in this field? I am currently in Canada btw. However U.S. and international members are welcome to give me feed back in this particular field of tech regarding to your prospects. What is the market like? Anyone with some insight on this field? Search engines are show very little about my field. What other job titles aside from electronics technician should I be searching for?? |

Medical equipent repair is a field that you can get a good paying job with a manufacturer that requires either an Associates degree in electronics or military background with eletronics. You would be amazed at the amount of high end medical equipment they are using in the operating room such as robotic surgery. I work for GE Healthcare and in the USA there is paid internships that you can apply for that lead into full time position with GE, I don't know if Canada has it or not. Good luck in your electronics career. |
