Looking at profiles of the HR people at the companies that I have had interviews at most of them do not stay at the company more than 5 years, and many job around from job to job every 3-4 years. I have been at one company for 15 and my most recent jobs were 3 and 2.5 years. Do they look at someone who has been at a job 15 years as a good thing or a bad thing? I know that I will never be at a job that long in the future, that is if someone would just hire me. |

Some companies look at it as stability and others look at it like stagnation. Today, 5 years with one company is a good run. How many retirement parties have you been to lately? |

Everything today in regards to the job search and interview is "dammed if you do, dammed if you don't." You can't win. You just hope that the person interviewing you has a similar history. |

I just went on a panel interview today. I felt I did ok but experience tells me, that doesn't mean anything. Tomorrow, I hit the boards again. I never wait for a response anymore. Its a numbers game. |

15 years is good as long as you received internal promotions |
