On behalf of one of our clients in the Middle East, we are currently recruiting for a NAS Consultant (IBM Nseries/Netapp).
Job Description
• This Software Support Specialist will be the focal point of contact for all NetApp support related hardware and software issues, including planning, implementation, configuration and administration.
• Network Appliance Data Ontap/Hardware configuration (features such as SyncMirror, etc) and 3rd level troubleshooting.
• Install/upgrade and maintain Netapp/Nseries Filers in an enterprise environment.
• Need to provide technical support on NetApp hardware in UNIX and Windows environments.
• Duties will include System monitoring, Daily health checks, Problem resolution, and Change management, Maintenance of support documentation and security, and Audit compliance.
• Must be NetApp or IBM Nseries Certified on their specific operating systems and Software with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Have proven skills in performing in-depth support, administrative functions, and performance management for CIFS, NFS, and FCP for SCSI or iSCSI for TCP/IP protocols on a NetApp storage appliances.
• Implemented active-active controller configuration and SyncMirror to ensure continuous data availability and rapid recovery of data.
• Experience in SnapMirror, SnapRestore, and SnapVault products to manage and protect mission-critical data.
• In-depth experience and skills in NetApp installation/deployment and support.
• Netapp Filer volume Management, Snapmirror and Ontap Upgrades and Migrations.
• Storage allocation tasks include, deployment of a new host, creating qtrees, quotas, resizing and creating exports entries.
• Monitoring Storage space usage and automating alerts using DFM
• Candidate is to have at least 5 years of experience of Data OnTap & NetApp storage with advanced skills in troubleshooting, designing and in-depth knowledge to handle 3rd level support.
• Linux /Unix Experience
