indeed.com/me/dstephenson The link is to my resume, I've had several friends and family look over it, they say it's nice but I think they sugarcoat it so I'm asking the indeed community. My problem is I apply to jobs several hours a day. I probably apply to over 100 places a month and I hardly EVER get a call back. and when I do I guess I screw up my interview because I never hear back. All of this is very discouraging to me I follow tips and guidelines on how to nail an interview and how to get called back but nothing seems to work. I'm becoming desperate for a job and would love any advice the community has for me. |

Personally, I would remove the last three items in your "skills" area. Also, what is "front and facing" in in the duties of your 7 Eleven job? Are you currently learning any new software or programming languages? Those are things you could indicate on your resume. Have you checked with your school to see if there are any jobs available on or off campus? Most places have a website or bulletin board with job postings, or a career center. I would utilize those services as much as possible. |

First off, what type of job field are you looking for? does your education give you a background for what you want? Honestly I think that is a very bland resume. Tailor your Objective to the field you are applying for, whether it is in retail, hospitality, food service, ect, Yours sounds like you copied if off the internet. Bring your Education to the top and explain a little about it, what is your school objective, this will tell employers your are motivated and have goals. If you have a good GPA then I would also indicate that. Also put down any classes that you have taken that may be applicable. Hope that helped, goodluck |
