Good Afternoon,

I am a Bachelor Degree Level Social Worker looking into transitioning into the Human Resources field. I am taking a Post Bacc certificate Program on Human Resource Management. I can see how my skills transfer but I am having a hard time putting it down on paper. I am looking some advice on how to rework my resume and cover letter to reflect more administrative experience.

Also, if anyone has any advice on landing a entry level Human Resources Assistant Position, that would be helpful as well.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

As someone with a BSW, I am considering the same transition. Social work and human resources can pretty much go hand in hand. I found this interview to be helpful: www.hrvoice.org/beth-harris-transitioning-into-a-human-resource-career/

Any experience you have with mentoring or coaching others would be relevant. I'm assuming you did this with your clients. Also, include any training you prepared or conducted.
