Here's most of an email to a CSR at Indeed.com I would like to share here. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and answered all my questions, and had helpful comments and suggestions with which I followed up; very thorough indeed. If you read nothing more than this, CHECK OUT ADVANCED SEARCH FOR AGENCY FILTER; NO MORE AGENCIES FOR ME! I thoroughly enjoyed your site and would like to comment further. I searched through two hundred sites last week and narrowed down the results to thirty five. Out of this smaller list, only you, SimplyHired and craigslist, made it into my non-governmental job site list. Some site names are only variations of the same URL, and many sites were slow, with few job listings, and no relatively current listings by date. I can do searches, (without having to wade through all those agencies), using your site's Advanced Search. Agencies are the majority of most sites' search results and I, as well it seems many others, have stopped using agencies. Job seekers should have the option to eliminate them in their online search. Granted, not spending as much time on sites I eliminated, I am not certain other sites do not have this particular filter, but none of my other favorite job sites filter out agencies, so you're the best site without question. Also, I'm new to the changes in online job site searches, and while some of the comments people provide on your site (might) be biased, most are enlightening and helped narrow my search tremendously. Links are right next to a company or agency's name, and when I see "944 comments" I am compelled to read more, even when I know I wouldn't work for certain companies. Admittedly, I don't recall exactly which site posted the position I landed, but of the two possibilities, both were available through your site, as well as other sites, which is truly an amazing feature that saves incredible amounts of time. The ability to "spider" other sites and filter out agencies, without them, I would still be |
