~~ Thank You ~~ Indeed for a job board that indeed works and is easy to use and permits submissions of more than just a resume and for not bombarding me with unwanted advertisements. Thank you for your detailed job search filters that make it easy to find the jobs I was looking for in the location I was looking for. I had a few obstacles to overcome to start with but Indeed helped to remove those obstacles because I was able to add a document of explanation. I am a 57 year old minority female that has been out of the work force since April 2008 due to personal hardships. I have plenty of years of experience and I am highly qualified but having a lapse of employment can make the job search difficult. Thanks to your website I was able to add an explanation for my lapse of employment and I believe it is what made the difference. I started looking for employment in January 2011. Right away I was getting interviews; lots of interviews. It is never a good time to be out of a job but with today economy it is much harder. Thank you for making the job search easy so I could concentrate on apply for the job and doing my best at interviews and not wasting time trying to figure out how to submit my application, resume, cover letter and other documents. Many sites are not easy to use and you are not able to add valuable information that can possibly get you the job and you are forced to add your information over and over again plus they send you tons of advertisements. Thank You Indeed for not wasting my time and respecting my needs. Today I got a job and I believe it is a perfect fit. Thank You Indeed for being there for me. I know you are doing good things for people in hard times. Gratefully Employed |

Gloria, As a 61 year old (non-minority) female job seeker who has been looking for another job since December 2010, I am glad to hear you finally found your perfect fit job. After being laid off from my 25-1/2 year job (long story but I was not laid off because of poor performance)in Seattle, I took a temporary job here in Salt Lake that I got through friends. It's very difficult to be looking for work at the age of 61 in this economy and even though it is illegal to discriminate due to age, we all know it's done. But, I'm still applying for anything that remotely fits my experience. Congratulations and I totally agree with you about Indeed. One thing I appreciate is that I do not get bombarded with advertisements or upgrade promotions. Still Looking... |
