Worthless site!

It has been about 3 years since I have gone on an interview. I am the one usually doing the interviewing. I guess I am nervous but my resume was recently passed onto a president of a bank. I was contacted for an interview and met with the sales manager. The interview was about 45 mins long. I was 15 mins early and it wasn't really an interview where he asked questions and I answered. it was a conversational interview. No notes were taked of me. We actually had a lot in common regarding education and employment backround. He stated to me in the end of the interview that he would contact me on Monday to meet with the president for a 2nd interview. I guess my question to all those out there, they wouldn't suggest that I meet with the president on the 2nd interview if they didn't consider me for this position? After leaving all other interviews that I have had in the past they have never mentioned a 2nd interview they only said someone would contact me. I guess I am woried over this comment that he made to me. Any suggestions out there.

Well thanks for the encouragement, I got an email from the interviewer and he stated he has not forgotten about me and is trying schedule me in due to the holiday for a 2nd interview.

Two possibilities:

1) He was really impressed and wanted to schedule the next interview, as soon as possible. If you are a good candidate, he does not want to lose you to a competitor, and that is why he informs you of the next step right away.

2) He was unprofessional and gave you hopes without reviewing your application closely and without confirming with the management in regards to the second interview.
