i have an interview for an administrative assistant at a correctional facility.. can anybody give me any ideas as to my response when they ask me why I want to work in a correctional facility??? Thanks!

Most people don't. And as an admin, it's not likely that you will "be helping kids become productive members of society."

The first question I would ask is why are you looking at the job? If there is a reasonable answer there, I would go with that.

If it's just for the job or the money, you may want to fudge a bit and say that corrections is one of the fastest growing industries in the US (sadly) and that you are looking for a situation that can offer you a realistic chance for professional growth.
