Enrique in Chicago, Illinois said: You spelled organisation wrong (it's organization) - But otherwise very helpful Hmm, I hope you're not in human resources, because obviously the spelling of 'organization' as 'organisation' is not incorrect, it is a cultural difference, not a misspelling. He is obviously a well-educated speaker. |

This was a very positive and helpful refresher course. We have all heard these instructions before, but you renew the concept and build our confidence in this difficult process of interviewing. Your lesson was positive and helpful for me. Thanks so much! |

It's not incorrect, just different. Come on, people, let's be culturally aware! |

When a company calls a previous employer , can they determine if you were fired, quit, or only that you no longer work there. How much info. can they get. My previous manager, has nothing bad to say, and said that I can give his cell for a referrence, but with a big company like Bank of America, will they also contact HR, and how much can HR say ??? |

Re Svt in Aubrey. I have a similar question. After I was fired several months ago I came back and gave my former co-workers my side of what happened (few saw the incident and I didn't have a chance talk), and some advice on how to increase their job security. I'm not sure if my "farewell letter" got into management's hands, but if it did, can the company mrntion THIS up prospective employers? |

I had my friend call my previous employer to see what information they where giving out cause I was fired too, and haven't been able to get a job. I thought they were saying negative things. As it turned out they would only give my hire and ending date. If you wanted more information you had to email them a written statement asking why I left. They are not supposed to say why you where fire that could get them in trouble, but if asked would you re-hire this person they can say no and that doesn't look good either. |

Does anyone have information on the whole interview/hire process at AETNA? How long does the background check take? What happens after you get an email to submit your application? Are you going to get a offer? I have been waiting for a week for the the next step. thanks. |
