Earlier this week, (Tuesday, to be specific) I had a job interview and I thought it went really well. It was a very comfortable, easy flowing interview. I was told by HR and my interviewer that they were doing interviews for the position tuesday-friday and after that they would pick a few for 2nd interviews.

However, recently, I found in my job alerts I get from indeed.com, the same position posted in my new alerts this morning. My question is: Does indeed.com post a position again after a certain amount of time if they don't hear from the recruiter?

I'm just curious because it doesn't make sense. Or does it? Aggh, so frustrated. lol

Hello Cmoniz,

Indeed includes job listings from major job boards, newspapers, associations, and company career pages. If a job is no longer available, it is the responsibility of the employer to remove the listing from the original location where it was posted.

Indeed constantly updates the search results and removes expired jobs. However, sometimes there is a delay in this process and you may find some job listings that were removed from the original website but not yet removed from Indeed.

Other times, a position has been filled but the employer has not removed the original job posting. Until this happens, the job will continue to appear wherever it was originally posted and on Indeed as well.

If you see any expired job listings in the future, feel free to contact us and we will look into removing them from Indeed: www.indeed.com/support

Best of luck with you job search!
