Internal Interview

I am applying for a internal position in the co. I work for. There are two more candidates who have been in the company for a long time and their salaries are about the same as the offered in the open position. I think if I get the job, it will be a true promotion rather than almost a lateral move.

How can address that concept in my favor during the interview?
