I had an interview with a Casino Niagara for IT department position exactly 1 week ago.

It was pretty good, about 55 mins long...

I did send a THANK YOU email almost 10 mins after the interview.

I dont know why I did this, but I also sent them "List of references" about 5 days after the interview.

1. I dont know if that was a good thing that i sent them references with out asked.

2. My friend who also applied for the same job received an email this morning, and it was the interviewer asking about "references".

am i screwed? or do you guys think I still have chance...?

Try as I might, I am still unable to read minds, so I can't say if you are screwed or not. You may well still be in the running. Companies often take more than a week to make up what minds they have left. Keep applying to other companies though.

Thanks for apply, I have been applying other jobs as well, but this is THE job that i would like to get in badly.

The fact that my friend was asked for reference, but I didn't.. this makes me really nervious

Maybe I should not have sent them "list of references" without being asked...

sigh

You probably gave the HR airhead blond bitchhh a realization. You know, the light bulb went off in her head. She probably realized that after seeing your references it would be a good idea to start asking good candidates for their references.

You have a chance. Don't call/email them anymore though. What you can do is check your references to see if they were contacted.

Good Luck.

Never act desperate in your job search. Recruiters/HR don't like that.
