This isn't so much a question about the interview process itself.. but basically I went to an interview recently where they actually took all my information, including SSN, W2 information and bank routing numbers.. I never heard anything back from them at all. Should I probably call this place to make sure that they delete that stuff if they won't be using it, and especially if they have no intention of hiring me? It may not be a big deal but it bothers me to some degree that they have it but never contacted me afterwards.

Sounds like the work of a recruiter/agency. An employer hiring you directly probably wouldn't take such information unless you were already hired. I wouldn't worry about it, except for maybe the bank routing number. If you tell them to destroy it, they won't consider you for placement - not that they have anything for you anyway. They usually don't and only want to sign you up to pad their resume database.
