I need help with my objective on my resume. I hope this isn't too confusing for you all. How do you put on your objective that you want to be cross-trained? I am applying for a job that I don't have experience in but would be willing to be cross-trained. I am currently in school for my RT (radiologic technoloist-x-ray tech) and am trying to get a job either in that or CT or MRI. I am applying to all three and probably need to change my objective for each one (I am changing my cover letter as well). I have my objective for the RT position: "to obtain a position where I can demonstrate my abilities as a dedicated Radiologic Technologist and willingness to cross-train into CT or MRI" What should I put for just CT or just MRI? Any suggestions would be great. If I need to clarify anything let me know. Thanks so much. |

Having resume with cross-trained objectives is fine. Too much information syndrome only applies to IT area. I am not specialist in RT area but any positive statement (as you quoted above) is plus for a candidate. If you don't have free help of some recruiting professionals, take a look of these articles that may help you. www.tonybeshara.com/tips/resumes/

Until they hire you, and value your potential, they have no reason to be interested in training you. DO list what you have experience and expertise in, and add something in the skills section like "Quick learner, flexible in responding to a range of work assignments. Trained in multiple technical fields. Eager to take on new challenges and technologies." But avoid making your resume sound like "Hire me for something I don't want to do and pay to train me for something better so I can get a free education and go somewhere else for more money." Also indicted were Stuart Cohen, the company's national sales director; Anthony Beshara, its head trader, and Ronald Wheeler Jr. and Ronald Wheeler Sr., who operated a retail securities firm, Stoneridge Securities, in Las Vegas, said Mike Norton, a United States Attorney in Denver. All five face charges of racketeering conspiracy, racketeering and securities fraud. Mr. Blinder, Mr. Cohen and Mr. Beshara face charges of unlawful distribution of securities, and the Wheelers face wire fraud charges. I agree with Career Hunter. The bullet points he/she speaks to sound great. Quite simply, your desire to be cross-trained is best addressed in a cover letter. Good luck! |
