Hi everyone! Every tip I've read about resume writing suggests you should have a list of accomplishments stating concrete numbers. For example "Increased productivity 30% in first quarter" My question is this: What if you do not have a solid statistical number to back up your accomplishments? Do I still list my accomplishments? I have accomplished a lot of things during my career, however I was never given specific numbers, nor would I even have an idea of what they might be. I have increased office productivity, but don't know by how much.....I do know I have done very ligitimate things that have increased that productivity though. I have just created a much needed web prescence for the company I am currently with, which has resulted in more inquiries and increased the potential for more clients, but again no specific numbers. I'd hate to leave my accomplishments out, because they are real, but am lacking the "ever so important" number factor, or is the "number factor" that important? Any advice anyone could give would be great Thanks! |

Do you ever receive a performance review from any of your employers? I would start there. Also, there's nothing wrong with circling back to your employer and ask how you personally helped the company's bottom line. |
