I know the objective should be specific to the job and company but this is just a general resume to hand out in job fairs and such. when i do apply usually the "To acquire employment in a corporation" part is replaced with the position, but i'm not really happy with the second part of the objective, any suggestions on that specifically and of course the whole thing needs to be look at :)

Narako9 said: Tryinghard you made me laugh. I aim to please. On a serious note, I looked at your resume. It's decent, but I'd suggest using quantifiable data. For instance, don't just say you served people, give an estimate of how many people you served (for instance, say "Tutored 20 students in..."). Also, give examples of things you did that made you stand out at those jobs. In your resume you just listed the typical things you did, but what really made you stand out from the rest? Good luck to you in your job search! |

I agree with Naroko9. Quantifiable data. Use numbers where ever possible. Increased "this" by "x", or decreased that by "y". As to the objective statement, I like objective statements that say WHO you are vs. WHAT you are looking for. When you say WHO you are, you put the reader in a very different mindset vs "WHAT" you are looking for. WHAT literally puts the reader into the mindset that you begging for a job". i have some thoughts here on objective statement. bit.ly/oOwikl If this is for a career fair, I would say that 95% of the candidates that show up to the job fair are blowing it. If you go to a booth and ask "what do you do?" forget it. Good luck

I agree with Naroko9. Quantifiable data. Use numbers where ever possible. Increased "this" by "x", or decreased that by "y". Increases using numbers or percentages always show quantity. As a recruiter, I am not able to go to a hiring manager and say "johnny is an experienced trainer". I can say "Johnny trained 20 employees and 5 new training plans". Pardon me, I meant Narako9, not "Naroko9." |

With mild grammar errors, I think that you've done quite well. Don't forget to add contact information, and a brief summary of your candidacy in the beginning (around the Objective part). |

Yes, I would also recommend to check and edit your paper with professionals, same I did with mine. I can advice you a site who provides editing service for free of charge though they write resumes on a payment basis. |
