Thanks. So much on the internet; back and forth, good versus bad, honest versus dishonest. Hard to know which to believe. Any post can be a scam, self-serving, offense or defense. har dot resolve. |

ITS is a really good company. They care about their clients, and provide services that deliver good of value. If you want to check out Bob Gerbergs background and the books he has published, just go to Amazon and run a search. He has published hundreds of books in the field, and there are certainly more than four available on Amazon. The BBB record on ITS is a good one, and the Rip-off Report also endorses this company. However, I am not saying that these references are a reason to become a client of ITS. The most important question you need to ask, is if a service like this is right for you. It's absolutely clear what this firm does, and does not do. You can't help but realize this when you read one of their service agreements. They also will provide real references if you ask. |

You can bet, from experience, that they are a fraud. They get your money, thousands, and they don't do what that say they will do. |

Well,,,,,,,,,,,let me say how stupid I feel now. I signed up with resume Spider, should not have........
They sent out 650 resumes on the 1st and only mailing for me.
Why in the world would I want to send out another mailing to the same companies again? I feel really bad about buying the 3 mailings.I should have tried the 1 mailing to get my own results and opinions. instead of believing what you read on the internet,, so in closing I have learned a valuable lesson...should have believed this and other web sites. Even a smart guy, that I thought i was, can get scammed.......

I think it's just the Job market that's the reason even with our degree's that we're not getting calls. Not that resume' zapper is a rip off. I've used them twice in the past years and got lots of calls. |

Several good points in this thread. I agree with Career Hunter in his reply #4 when he mentions saturation of the market. Distributing your resume via one of these services is an odds game, and the more recruiters/companies on the list, the better your odds. But it's still a tough game. While there's certainly an argument to be made for being selective about who sees your resume, and targeting each copy that goes out (something I do advocate), saturation sometimes works. Also agree that a reputable firm will let you see the target list of recruiters who were sent your resume. I write reviews of resume distribution services for the website TopResumeServices.com, and that's one thing I look for. BTW, Resume Zapper does offer a list of those recruiters who were sent your resume – for $19 bucks. Ah well, nothing's free anymore. Couple of other thoughts: Look for longevity (how long a distributor has been in business). Look for a customer service phone number on their website. Call that number and see if a human talks back. And most importantly – you want to find a distributor that builds it's list from recruiters and company personnel who opt in to the service. – David |

No I didn't get a job through ResumeSpider, but I just blame the economy honestly. I still would say the service did a good job. I'll probably use them again when things pick up a bit. The service is worth $40 in my opinion. There's a 10% off coupon here www.jobgoround.com/resume_distribution.php you should use if you use them. |

Has anyone had their resume upgraded by GetInterviews.com? They made some nice editorial revisions to my original resume, and they seem to be legit, which makes them the exception in this market. Any feedback on this company? Thanks |

While at work, I used enichols@systemedic.com as my email address. In order to see the full job description, I had to give them a credit card #. Ad said it was for 7-day trial. Afterwards, it is $180 a year. I tried to cancel right away and thought I had printed their phone number. However, it did not show up on the printed page. Web site is chi.taleo.net/careersection/chin_all/jobdetail.ftl?ftlcompid=actOpenRequisitionDesc.. What should I do? |

ITS/ERI helped me find a job. The software JMAC is awesome. I saved time and money. It was worth the money in my opinion. They followed up with me all the way. Do your homework. I was skeptical because of some of the things I read, but now I'm a believer. |

Do your homework - the "Ripoff Report" folks have an explanation up that identifies a "copy-cat" service that is the scam - and that the people from ITS/AJN have worked with them (Ripoff Reports) to their satisfaction to correct the mistaken attribution of the bad press to the legitimate ITS/AJN group. |

I really had a great experience with ITS as well. The team and the resources were outstanding. The services were on time, on target, and developed for my career needs and requirements. In my case, I switched industries with the help of uncovering my transferrable skills. The professional resumes and websites were awesome. Jerry was knowledgable, accessable, and helped maximize all the tolls provided. |

I just wanted to second the last post regarding ITS. The system was really helpful
Given this was the first time in decades of conducting a job search. I could not believe the challenging economic environment. The system educated me on the contemporary methods of job search, defined new and innovative approaches. In general it got me moving quickly into day to day activities that got me the interviews and a job offer. |

I am thankfully, gainfully employed but keeping options open to avoid an out of state relocation. Add to that, I am a full time student continuing my education to advance my career. Plus, being middle management, I tend to have a hectic work schedule in addition to the usual family chaos. That being said, I do not have the time to sift through job sites and complete a bunch of applications. Outsouring to a service like Resume Rabbit was worth the $30. It saved time. The good, My resume is on most job sites so when I want to apply for something, it reduces a lot a time setting up an account. The bad, it seems they put your resume on EVERY site even when it is not applicable. For instance, I have non-IT project management experience in Transportation and Logistics. They set up search agents to send me IT related jobs. Posted my resume to IT sites. On the other end of the scope they put me in with a bunch of low level temp agencies for receptionist work, file clerks, and even a retail site where I was offered a cashier position making minimum wage. Some of the websites do not let you even see the job descriptions unless you join their service and pay an additional fee. Most of those jobs are listed on other "non-pay" websites. If an employer wants to fill a position, he's going to get the word out, not keep the job description hidden. It makes no sense. If you go to the list of where they submit, take one or two a day and tweak it. It makes it more manageable. The low end job boards or those that do not apply, I put in the criteria my minimum salary requirement and my own key words that pretty much eliminates the spam people have complained about. After a week, I am still sifting through and unsubscribing/tweaking the Resume Rabbit Job submissions, but all in all it is still saving me a ton of time figuring out who is actively listing jobs and where. Then contending with tedious applications on top of it. |

Alan123 in New York, New York said: I used ResumeRabbit.com and loved it. It was totally worth the $60 bucks. They instantly posted my resume to 76 job sites. Doing it myself would have taken forever. I received lots of inquiries from recruiters and companies. But I have to admit, there is a fair demand for someone with my degree and experience in the area I live. The job I took resulted from my resume posted on a small job site I didn't even know existed. But here's the thing. I don't think its reasonable to expect spend $50 bucks on resume distribution and EXPECT to get a job, or even responses. You should expect that they distribute your resume where they say they will. They don't control the economy, the demand for someone with your skills, etc. They didn't write your resume or select your salary requirements, so how can they be responsible if you get contacted. A job search includes a ton of things you should do. Sending your resume to job boards or recruiters is one. And there's definitely a chance that someone will find you on a job board or a recruiter will have a client looking to hire someone with your skills (today or in the future). ResumeRabbit.com saved me a bunch of time. While I got lucky, even if I didn't get contacted, at least I didn't spend a week posting my resume to 70+ sites or wonder what would have happened if I did. The same goes for sending your resume to recruiters. They may need someone with your skills, they may not. They may put you in their database and need someone like you in 6 months, and find you there. These services don't change the job market. But they increase your chances of being in the right place at the right time. That's worth $50 bucks or so to me. I've been researching about this for few hours now and everyone seems to believe resume distribution service is just plain crap and we should all network our way up the ladder. I say this answer is the BEST OF ALL! Thanks. |

Be careful of anyone on here saying "blah blah site was GREAT! They did such a great job, I'm even considering having children with them!!!" - The reviews on here that sound like sales ads for sites that we all can see have many complaints, aren't being posted by people using their sites - they are getting compensation for posting good reviews. Shills on here, they are a plenty.. Especially when one person uses historical US figure names three times in one day to post three good reviews for ITS.. Really?? |

As a former employee of Advanced Career Technologies aka: ITS, Americas Job Network, Mckenzie Scott I would like to plead with any and all prospective clients or employees to reconsider doing business with them or any other name they decide to change the company to in the future. Having been behind the scenes I saw first hand the way they do business. Having potential employees take money out of their own pocket to start working with an extremely high turnover rate to never be reimbursed is very unethical in my eyes. But that's just where it starts. Clients pay out hundreds if not thousands of dollars of money they in many cases cannot afford in the hopes this company will find them a new position. This doesn't happen for most clients. They end up in the same place they started in: Unemployed. The only difference being now they are in a very hard financial situation usually due to depleting savings, assets 401k's and credit cards to pay for this service. Within the recruiting department There are unethical practices in place such as discrimination and asking questions to prospective employees that are illegal. I was told when being hired as a recruiter that the sales force was given "hot leads". This was supposedly people that had responded to an ad for the service and had filled out a questionnaire to see if they were a good fit for the service. Sounds great right? Come to find out they own over 200 domains and websites that advertise job postings related to all industries and job functions. These "hot leads" are people who believe they have applied for a job, not applied for a job placement service. The owner and his son both have a convincing story as to why the company has changed it's name due to a consultant telling them it was better to consolidate to make the services easier to understand for clients. But every time new complaints arise online and in the media the company changes it's name and corporate name. I beg of you to do your research as not all compa |
