Resume Help needed with medical leave and re-entry into workforce

I am in the IT field and this past May 2011 I suffered a stroke after beginning a contract position which I just begun ( for 1 week) and needless to say I was unable to complete. As a result of my stroke I had to have a portion of my skull removed to relieve the brain swelling that occurred and I have been unable to work due to a number of complications that have arisen with replacing this portion of my skull. It looks like and my hope is this portion of my skull will successfully be replaced this coming November 2011 and I will be able to return to work in the IT field in the near future.

Since I have never been out of work due to a medical condition such as this any suggestions on how I would present this on my resume and when I reach the interviewing stage would be greatly appreciated.
