Hi! I left my job several months ago to stay at home with my infant daughter. She's 9 months old and I'm hoping to go back to work soon, before she's a year old. I'm looking for project management/coordination positions.

How should I address the employment gap of 8+ months? Do I need to list being a SAHM on my resume or is it enough to mention it in the cover letter?

I looked for advice online and the mentioned creating a combination or functional resume so the break isn't so obvious. I could see how that would be beneficial if I was out of work for a few years or more. Would you recommend doing so if I've been out of work less than a year?

Thanks for any advice!
