I am doing a little volunteer work. Should I put it on my resume? If so how?
Thanks

I have included volunteer information on my resumes. I have included it last on the resume. I have titled this section "Community Service". I usually include the start date and end date/or if still volunteering, etc.

A big deciding factor is probably the type of position you are applying for. If it is a service-related type position, I think volunteerism is very helpful to add on a resume. It may not be so, for a computer job. I think it depends on the values and what the employer is looking for........

If it is pertinent to the position applying for then by all means put it on and list your specific skills from volunteering. Add a section like expeience but label it
relevant experience.
