I did look on here and didn't see my specific question
My undergrad and masters are in social sciences. I have some great experience, but got burned out and moved to cate for my terminally ill sister across the coutntry. I fell into an IT position I loved and stayed at several years, but my heart is social work. I have a hard enough time condensing my SW jobs into one page; is it appropriate to put Social Work Experience and try to condense my work to the applica ble job opening? And explain on the cover letter why there was a gap but it could be beneficial? One job description after education and skills and I'm pushing one page....thanks : )

You want to gear your Resume and Cover Letter towards the job you are looking for. How are you going to Contribute to the Organization you are applying for? Show them you can be a problem solver and not just another "resume brochure," they have to sift through. On your Resume make sure you show results in from your previous jobs responsibility. Everyone has responsibilities at a job but the question is whether or not they produced results. Here is a page I recommend to follow to help in your Career Building on Facebook

Great Work Great Career. It has helped me out
