How did you get your start doing asp net developer work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

Do you need a particular educational background?

Started out doing basic HTML, moving into Classic ASP at my first web developer job, and then into ASP.NET a couple of years after that once it started gaining some traction and being more widely adopted. A computer science background usually helps, though I don't have a degree personally. However, I'm currently freelancing so it's not a big problem, but I've found this is something employers and/or recruiters look for when hiring, especially with the job market the way it is right now.
