Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field? What skills should you learn to increase your salary? |

Assitants in the pharmaceutical industry make out very well. The ranges are $40,000 to $68,000 depending on your level and experience. |

I used to make 38K in automotive. Now I'm struggling as a contractor and barely clearing 20K, with even a Bachelor's degree! This profession has sunk to new lows with the growing reliance on temp firms that pay poorly and firms that never hire anyone FT perm these days. |

Upon retiring from a well known chemical/plastics company, my yearly salary was $51,300.00 after 31 years. I understand that 95% of adm asst positions are now filled by contract employees at $10-12$/hr. The best $$ are found in the computer support field and you can learn it easily. Best of luck! |
