I have been an Admissions Advisor for 15 years and I still love what I do. For those who want to get in this field I will tell you it is not like anything you have ever sold before if you have sales exsperience that is. Admissions is an emotional sale not here is the product now so you want to buy no. When being in this field be ready for rejection and hard work and be driven because without that you will fail. It is much easier to fail in Admissions than it is to succeed and that is becuase not everyone has the strengh to stick to it. I have become a very saught after advisor in my field and have had many wins because of my exsperience but it took me awhile to get it down. Pay attention to those who want to train you and do not take this career for granted as it can be a beautiful thing for you and your students.
