Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming admissions counselor interview?

Are there common interview questions that come up again and again?

Be yourself, but know that you are there to perform and produce enrollments. If you can't do the job, take the stress, then do not get into the program. It is a competitive, pretty cut throat occupation regardless of being at a private or public school.

1.Ask the interviewer if you can speak with a long time advisor. Then ask the advisor what the turn over is like in the organization.
2. Seek out information and look up BBB ratings, state or local complaints about working conditions, job boards that state "If you have a degree from XYC University Please do not bother to apply" They are out there on Monster/ Jobing.com. That is a great indication of the quality of the degree you will be offering and if you will be a success.
3. The schools that have long time admissions advisors, that pay well and work as a team, respect their employees, etc etc..... Thats where you want to be. They are few!
