I am currently a junior in the aerospace engineering program at Cal Poly Pomona in California. Coming into college my freshman year, I had taken and passed the necessary calculus exams to place me essentially a year ahead within the program. Due to the nature of the class structure, I will be unable to graduate a year early as planned. However, I am a year ahead in the program and as such, took all the junior level ARO classes my sophomore year. Classes such as Aerodynamics (low and high speed), stability and control, structures, heat and mass transfer, etc. Now that i'm in my junior year, I am forced to finish up the few remaining ARO classes before design classes next year as well as General Education Classes that I have left. I am looking to attain an internship going into summer and as such am wondering if I should do my senior project this year or hold off on it until next year. If this will not greatly help my chances of getting employed then I am just going to hold off, however, I would like to strengthen my position as much as possible. |
