What are typical aesthetician salaries? Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field?

Check the spa or med.spa to see how they pay. Some pay hourly or commission. I would go commission,some pay 50/50 or 60/40. Say a facial is $75 you get your cut on that commission or you may get $10 an hour for that facial. See the difference. Most medi-spa clinic will pay hourly, these clinics are very profitable,and popular. But unfortunetly you won't recieve the great profits. On the other hand if your new it may be a great place to learn and up your skills, til you land the right job for you.
