HELP!!! I recently completed my schooling (290 Hours) to become a licensed esthetician, but am finding it very difficult to find a job. All companies want experience and product knowledge, which of course I am straight out of school & do not have what they are looking for. How do you get your foot in the door? And how do you get a job doing what you were just trained for? Any help and or suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Gail Wagner |

I just finished school and i have 600 hours of school and i still need more like if i wanted to work in chicago. I would take a department store job or a cosmetic store job in the mall like ulta or somethng for just a couple months for something and then take seminars and more training. or try to get into sales rep jobs in outside sales for a while that brings in bank |

The best thing to do is to start your own business in a busy salon but only if you have somebody who would help you financially because it will be hard for a while. It will take time to build the clientele. But if Spa or salon will hire you they will make you to work as much as possible for the small money. But it is difficult decision to make, lots of investments. |

Taking a great course in business and marketing would be a good start. If you can't join them... beat them. If you are ever interested in furthering your education companies like Empire Medical Training provide business techniques to add to your wealth of knowledge in performing Aesthetic Procedures |
