What are typical apartment maintenance technician salaries? Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field?

What skills should you learn to increase your salary?

10 for grounds and light maintenance (light bulbs, etc) (also apt cleaners start at this amount for common areas).
11-13 for entry level maintenance. Must have some natural maint skills and with time learn and retain more, must be very trainable.
16-18 for lead maintenance. pool and spa certified, HVAC certified (very important for working on ACs) and also could get your boiler's license. Must be very mechanically aptitude. Some electrical skills. Can fix kitchen appliances like stoves, washers and dryers including commercial. Can see problems and fix on your own that would save the company money. Organized.
20 for certified apt maint technicians.
20+ for maint supervisors salaried.

Get your pool and spa and HVAC certification. Get your boiler's certification. Get your CAMT certification. Take a small appliance course. Take an electrical course. Attend maintenance seminars.
