A VERY open question. Depending on the sector *in which* you're doing application support you could be earning well over $100k. That said, the skills required also rise geometrically. For example an invement banking support analyst has to know the investment banking business very well, and the specific area being supported (for example Credit Hybrids) inside-out. In addition s/he needs to know IT very well, and the specific technologies involved (for example SQL, Unix & Perl) inside-out..
