Likes ~ I love real estate appraisals. You meet terrific people and observe situations in which you appreciate what you have. This keeps you humble. It is an opportunity to observe beautiful propoerties at times and make friends along the way.

Dislikes ~ Appeasers, not appraisers.... The lending institutions can high pressure for a high number. You must have a strong mind to tell them no, stand your ground and don't let them manipulate your opinion. You can and will loose business by not "appeasing", but this is not your job....appraising is.
~another dislike is only Certified appraisers can train new trainees..... I don't agree with this.

~opportunities to learn, come with field experience,
~advancement is available if you have plenty of time for non-stop school and exams.
