I am 50 years old and live in New York State, about 1 hour drive from Manhattan.
I am 6' 1", 210 pounds, very athletic and work out in the gym an hour each day.

I worked as a computer programmer for about 25 years until I lost my job about a
year ago. My unemployment benefits just ended.

Last week I signed up with National Security Training and Placement for their
armed security program.

My question is: Once I get all the training, licenses, etc. how likely am I to
find work in this field? And how much am I likely to get paid?

Thank you.

Try going to Allied Barton Security Services they are always hiring. If hired they will pay for your Security Guard License. "And how much am I likely to get paid?" It depends on your experience in law enforcement/security (if any) and on location where you will work. I'm thinking in NYC it would be $9-12/hr unarmed and $15-25 armed.

Anyway good luck;)
