I am interested in becoming a Buyer one day and would like to know what types of degrees are suitable for that work? I began my path in the fashion industry taking classes in fashion Merchandising, but now am looking into a University that does offer fashion courses. What are my options to pursue becoming a Buyer? |

you dont need a degre, work your way up through a company. Starting as a procurement assistant or in stock control that way you get a feel for the entire job. Also it is CIPS that is required (Charted institute of purchasing and Supply) this can be done through college or NVQ Supply chain management level. |

CIPS is required, this can be done through college or NVQ4 Supply chain management through work. Most companies will take on assistant buyers who are or are prepared to train for CIPS. You need to work as an assistant buyer to get a job as a buyer |
