My husband and I are going out of town for our 10th anniversary and we have asked our youngest daughters daycare teacher if she would be interested in taking our 2 daughters for the 5 days we are going to be gone. The girls will be in daycare 3 of the 5 days from 7:00 - 4:30. Over the weekend, my parents are going to take the girls. So, really she will only have them 3 days. I asked her what she charged and she said she didn't have a fee, and said she was fine with whatever I offered her. We feel extremely fortunate to have this person taking care of our children while we are gone, so I don't want to be "cheap" in paying her. I offered her $300 and groceries. (She said that was plenty and groceries wasn't necessary). Any thoughts on if I should be giving her more or is $300 enough?

Thanks for your help!!
