Pnc start you off at 13.21 per hour
Do you want to make good money as a teller...work for a credit union. for me, the credit union that i work for started me at 19.04 per hour as a teller..if you have no experience they start you off at 17.22 per hour....i love it....there is no federal rules or regulations..they are flexible and not so strict i love it.....and they are paying for my school tuition...... |

For Fredericksburg(where I also live) its Wachovia- $11 for pt and $10 for ft
So its on average $11-12 for our area. I know this because I worked for Wachovia and they were jerks, so I now work for PNC which is much better. |

Funsized in Van Nuys, California said: I will be starting off with $12.00 with Chase For others: Califoria has a abnormally very high cost of living. In conjunction with that they only way people can live there is for them to be paid a bit higher for the same job offered elsewhere in the US. Look on Salary.com and various other sites where you can look up salary by zip code. |

Depends on the company and where you are at. I will tell you that if you are in Chase they want you to do sales as well so its not going to be sooo much money like the other comments who are making close to $20.00 an hour with ZERO experience. |

I started with Park Ave Bank in Georgia and they started me out at $8.50 and hour. I currently make more than that but they don't give very big raises. The most I have ever gotten was $.50. I make more selling my tupperware than I do at the bank. Sad but true. |

I have been a teller and I have seen many tellers that hated the job. You are responsible for everything that goes wrong, but get very little credit for everything that goes right. I cannot work at a bank ever again, in fact there are too many lawsuits regarding banks and bank tellers and overtime and incentive pay. I don't trust them. $10.75 is not bad, it is a livable wage, but in order for me to go back working for a bank, they would have to match my pay at the credit union... |

nicki in Jersey City, New Jersey said: Many credit unions are different, the best credit unions to apply for are for your local school system, transportation system and city workers. I have been working there for almost a year and a half. I love it! It is not only a teller job, you have a much higher title and more responsibilities, but it is not limited to only tellering...go to your state website and look for credit unions there. hi |

I have been with hem for almost 2 yers, I started at 14 with noraise. we had a bonus that we lost last year because of he economy. I'm hinking to swich to local community banks. I also want to be a personal banker rather than a teller. |

Hello again. I had posted before that I will be making 13.50 per hour because that is what they had told me during the interview process. When they called me to offer me the job, they said they will be paying me 14 dollars an hour.. |

I work for charterone as well. It is a great place to work for and the company offers great benefits for full and part-time tellers, however I have been placed at a Detroit branch which I am constantly being harrassed by my branch manager and feeling as though my livelyhood is threatned. |

Hey Nikki, I am considering taking jobs at Huntington or Chase. Since you worked at both I would love to hear what your impressions of each are??? I accepted an offer already with Chase but Huntington is calling and want to set up an interview. I don't know what to do....the people at Chase really want me and I want to work there and I don't really want to go through another interview if I don't have to. Any info is appreciated. Thanks. |

Thanks Nikki. At the interview the branch manager told me that they don't really push you to make referrals to the personal banker. However, it is in your best interest to do so because you get a bonus by making referrals. I'm not really a salesperson but I don't mind suggesting products as long as a customer may need them. |
