HANDS ON TRAINING... Get a job thats willing to train new employees. Learn as much as you can. Healthcare industry changes their corporate policy all the time. I been working in this industry for more than 20 years. I had my certification along time ago and it was a waste of money and time. I now earn in the $60s non management position! I got here not because of my certification but because of my knowledge! and some luck. As for being an effective biller, all you need is DETERMINATIOn and KNOWLEDGE.
PS.DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS WITH THE INSURANCE.
