Even if the job description says that all you need is a high school diploma and "some Chemistry or Biology classes" in high school, it seems as if you really need no less than a Master's degree in Biochemistry or Chemistry, decidely NOT just plain Biology; and/or at least ten years' full time experience with verifiable references. And it needs to be from a top university, no junior colleges which unfortunately only offer Associates' degrees (unfortunately because those are the cheapest colleges and in California at least, are the only ones where if you're low enough income you can get into for absolutely free.)
