I have discovered since retirement that I must be invisible and stupid since all professional contacts are not available and no none hasa asked a technical question since retirement. I have over 50 years experience in natural resources and environmental engineering. I also found that organizations like The Nature Conservancy don't want volunteers because they think they waste their "professional" help watching the volunteers. My ideal position would be half-time work or consulting

2 words about The Nature Conservancy: Age Discrimination.

So, since you are of retirement age they most likely wouldn't want you for either paid employment of volunteer work. Sad, but true. :-(

Good luck!
