Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field? What skills should you learn to increase your salary? |

Location and degree seem to be the key factors. Pittsburgh pays on average 50,000 to 70,000; never seen anything advertised higher in area. I've interviewed for positions in Philly, Texas, and Arizona with prelim offers of 85,000 to 150,000 (after 3 years exp.). As consultant students are willing to typically pay $150.0-200/project (you get a lot more of these) and non-profits 75-200/hour. |

I am recruiting for a company in NJ looking for a biostatistician with a degree, US Authorized, and 5 years experience paying $80,000-90,000/yr. Also, SAS programmer for the same salary. Email your resume to krystal.donahue@discoverysolutions.net if you are looking! |
